Wāhine Waiata

A supportive community where women at all levels develop their confidence and skill to waiata, karanga and karakia!

Together, reconnecting with our essence as wāhine.

Have you ever felt whakamā or unsure about using your voice in a Te Ao Māori setting?

You’re not alone. That’s why I’ve created Wāhine Waiata—to support wāhine to step into their vocal power.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Online Vocal Course (1 year access): Over 50 videos to help you build confidence and master the techniques for strong, clear, and healthy vocal expression.

  • Waiata Resources (1 year access): Everything you need—backing tracks, pronunciation guides, and translations—to feel prepared and connected as you practice.

  • 6 Live Master Classes: A chance to ask questions, receive individual tuition, and refine your skills in a supportive space.

  • Facebook Community: Connect with a group of wāhine who will cheer you on every step of the way.

This course is more than just learning techniques. It’s a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and connection to Te Ao Māori.

The best part? You’ll be part of a supportive group of wāhine, all sharing in this kaupapa together.

This course is perfect for Wāhine who:

  • Want to develop excellent vocal technique within a Te Ao Māori context.

  • Are seeking a supportive, shame-free space to find their voice and build their confidence as kaiwaiata

  • Want to be part of a caring community where wāhine lift each other up through aroha and shared learning

  • Are looking to develop the skills and understanding to use their voice confidently to waiata, karakia and karanga
